OIL SPILL IN WATERS IN ADA, GHANA

There has been an oil spillage into the sea at Ada Ayigboe in the Ada East District of the Greater Accra Region on Tuesday evening.

According to residents, a container was washed ashore in the early hours of Tuesday but disappeared later in the afternoon.

They later found the sea water changing colour, suspecting that the container might have spilled some dirty oil.

Resident said the polluted water started emitting some offensive odour in the area.

More to follow.
